Makarska, an ancient town, is situated at the foot of Nature Park Biokovo, used to be the only stop on the way to Salona. It was mentioned for the first time in the Acts of Salona Parliament as Mucurum, a place where bishopric was founded. It was governed by princes, governors, bishops, kings... Extremely florist environment and rich seabed make Makarska an attractive tourist resort.

Sinj, a small town on the banks of River Cetina, is famous for its pilgrimage of Miraculous Lady of Sinj, preservation of old traditions and maintenance of this region’s oldest custom called ''Sinjska Alka''.
Going south, still in Dalmatinska Zagora you come to town Imotski, famous for its Prolosac (Prološac) fortress and the unique karst phenomena of Blue and Red Lake. Nearby is the Nature Park Prolosko (Prološko) Blato. This is the area of natural and temporary accumulation of water level, which covers another two karstic lakes - Provalija and Krenica. The remains of Franciscan monastery can be found on a green island that sticks out from the water.
